Achievements

The Thistle Law Firm has achieved numerous recoveries in excess of $1 million in various jurisdictions including New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Dan Thistle was the first attorney to achieve a verdict in excess of $1 million in both Chester and Bucks Counties. The firm has also handled cases in numerous other states. Mr. Thistle has the distinction of achieving, what was at the time, the highest personal injury award in the history of Nevada.

The firm has tried hundreds of major cases concentrating in the area of medical malpractice and products liability. The firm has argued and briefed on an appellate level before the Pennsylvania Superior Court and Supreme Court; New Jersey Superior Court; Appellate Division, Nevada Supreme Court; U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

Dan Thistle has been a lecturer in trial practice courses given by the Philadelphia Bar Association, Pittsburgh Bar Association and Harrisburg Bar Associations. Dan has also recently lectured on behalf of the American Board of Trial Advocates in a program featuring “elite trial attorneys from across the country.” Dan has acted as a judge pro temp for the Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County.

For the past 36 years the attorneys in the firm have specialized in representing catastrophically injured clients in medical malpractice and products liability cases. As an adjunct to that representation the firm has represented the interests of quadriplegic, paraplegic and brain-injured clients in negotiations and litigation with their health care providers, HMOs and insurance plans.
